“The untapped potential of forest fruit trees” – Summer School on Scientific Writing, Reviewing, and Publishing

The 12th Summer School on Scientific Writing, Reviewing, and Publishing: “The untapped potential of forest fruit trees” took place in Logarska dolina, Slovenia, 29 July-2 August 2024. It was organized by FRUITDIV, the Recovery and Resilience Plan project SKUPP, and the EVOLTREE network in cooperation with the Slovenian Forestry Institute.


Early career scientists and senior researchers attended lectures related to submitting and reviewing scientific publications, and improvement of their use of English terminology. The focus was on scientific writing and publishing in the exact sciences and especially in (applied) biology and forestry. The training consisted of lectures and practical training with many examples, tips and tricks. Participants also received some practical homework and actively engaged during the lectures and training. The lecturers were Dr. Hans De Boeck, senior researcher at the University of Antwerp and Prof. em. Reinhart CEULEMANS, Ph.D., dr.hon.c.mul.
